Dialogues Project I - DICHOTOMIA 對話系列 I - 切 /分
3:00 ( Installation view of DICHOTOMIA, 107 gallery, 2016 ) The word ”Dichotomia” derives from ancient Greek which means to cut one in two. < Dichotomia > is an exhibition by two stylistically and contentual contrasting artists, Ting Chaong-Wen and Zora Kreuzer. They explore how various forms of symbolic meaning work through color, shape and spaces; to propose, explore and respond to modern perception. German artist Zora Kreuzer focuses on the relationship of color fields and site-specific art. She uses red, green and blue (RGB); the primary colors of light and geometry for her new work to explore the impact of physics for sensory physiology, and to create artificial stimulation and joy through neon paint. The process of accumulating knowledge may be earlier than we imagined? Ting Chaong-Wen attempts to capture the reality of capacity by matter and form. He reveals how to move the construction element to the exhibition space in this new work, and opens up the idea of painting, sculpture, and other forms of labor and history in the transfer process. <Dichotomia> represents another idea of substance (material) and space by color, light and shape as symbolic elements; in more detailed, more sensory ways to understand things, and rethink how we see them. Zora Kreuzer explores in her praxis the quality of light and colour through site-specific installations and wall paintings. She investigates the colours and shapes found in the public space, from advertising and neon signs to natural phenomena. Through the use of artificially manufactured materials, she subtly manages to achieve a delicate balance between a geometric colour field treatment and a world of eighties pop nostalgia. www.zorakreuzer.com Dichotomia字源自古希臘,意思是切開將其一分為二。 |
